The Hollister White Shaker
The commission
A confident white shaker kitchen for a Hollister family home — a long working island, an etched-glass pantry door, a corbeled mantel shelf over the range, and stacked wall ovens framed in scribed cabinetry.
Not every kitchen needs a statement finish; some need to be done exceptionally well in the classic vocabulary. This Hollister kitchen is white inset shaker through and through — but the craft is in the details: a decorative corbeled mantel shelf over the range, an etched-glass pantry door, a microwave drawer worked cleanly into the base run, and a column of stacked wall ovens framed by cabinetry scribed tight to the ceiling. Granite and marble counters, oil-rubbed bronze hardware, and a beadboard-apron farmhouse sink round it out.

The range wall — white shaker uppers and lowers with a decorative corbeled mantel shelf above the hood.

An alternate composition of the working island, the etched-glass pantry door closing the run.
