The Gilroy Two-Tone
The commission
A two-tone kitchen built around a single honed-marble waterfall island — white painted uppers held against dark stained-walnut bases, with the grain run continuous across every door in the run.
The owners came to us wanting a kitchen that felt warm rather than white-on-white. We answered with a deliberate contrast: crisp painted inset uppers above hand-stained American walnut bases, the two finishes separated by a single marble counter that folds down the end of the island as a full waterfall. Glass-front display cabinets carry the eye up the range wall, and the custom walnut hood surround ties the lowers to the ceiling. Every box, door, and drawer was joined and finished in our Gilroy shop.
The gallery

The range wall: a custom stained-walnut hood surround framed by white shaker uppers, marble slab run to the ceiling.
